Synopsis

This is our bonus screening of Love, Simon; to book into the Centrepiece session of Love, Simon please click here.

Simon (played with likable charm by Nick Robinson) is your typical American teenager. Popular at school, a tight crew of best friends and loving, supportive parents (Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel). Simon, however, is carrying a big secret. Simon is gay.

Complicating matters further is the fact that his best friend Leigh (played by Australian actress Katherine Langford) may be in love with him and he has fallen for an anonymous online pen pal who might also be a student at his high school. Could it be Aaron the broody waiter at the local diner, the high school theatre-kid Cal or shy loner Bram (played by another Australian Keiynan Lonsdale)?

Based on Becky Albertalli’s popular coming of age novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and directed by Greg Berlanti (The Broken Hearts Club, MQFF 2001), Love Simon is a funny, romantic feel-good treat.
