Volunteer with MQFF
The MQFF volunteer and internship program provides an opportunity to gain on-the-ground experience at a festival, learn new skills, make new friends, give back to the LGBTIQ+ community and play a vital role in making our not-for-profit Festival run successfully. Our volunteers have an enviable reputation as among the most efficient, friendly and helpful in melbourne’s vibrant arts community, and we are very proud that so many return each year.

MQFF Volunteer Coordinators play an important leadership role each year. This select group is responsible for managing a group of enthusiastic volunteers each shift as well as assisting MQFF’s staff with front-of-house management.
Our Coordinators help to manage the day-to-day running of the Festival by helping staff in other roles as required in all of MQFF’s venues. They know the MQFF program back to front, think fast on their feet and assist our patrons with any enquiry. This is a voluntary position ideal for someone who is dedicated to community organisations such as MQFF or perhaps looking to gain valuable operational and supervising experience in a festival setting.
