Thank you for your interest in the 2018 Melbourne Queer Film Festival. Submissions for the 2018 Festival are now closed and will reopen for 2019 later in the year.
Each year MQFF screens more than 120 features, shorts and documentaries from Australia and around the world and presents numerous panels, filmmaker workshops and special events. With an annual audience of 20,000, MQFF is a highlight of Melbourne’s busy arts and cultural calendar and screens across three venues including the state of-the-art Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), Cinema Nova and Palace Kino.
MQFF recognises local and international filmmaking talent through our Awards Program which includes prizes for Best Australian Short Film, Best First Feature and Best Documentary. The 2018 award winners will be announced at the conclusion of the Festival. To see a full list of the 2017 winners, visit our Awards page.2017 Award Winners
