Volunteering at MQFF in 2019

Applications for 2019 volunteers have closed. Successful applicants have been notified. A volunteer induction session will be held in early March at Village Cinemas Jam Factory.

Why volunteer?

The MQFF volunteer program provides an opportunity to gain on-the-ground experience at a festival, learn new skills, make new friends, give back to the LGBTIQ+ community, and play a vital role in making our not-for-profit festival run successfully. In 2019 MQFF will have a range of opportunities for volunteers including assisting with the day-to-day operations of the festival, helping behind the scenes in the MQFF office, and supporting the festival online through digital media.

Volunteer Co-ordinators

MQFF Volunteer Co-ordinators are responsible for assisting with front of house management and are required to manage a group of enthusiastic volunteers, be knowledgeable about the MQFF program, the day-to-day running of the festival, film sessions and helping festival staff in other roles as required in the MQFF venues. This is a voluntary position ideal for someone who is dedicated to helping out at MQFF or looking to further their front of house supervising experience in a festival setting.’
