Submissions for the 2023 Melbourne Queer Film Festival have closed.
Every year MQFF screens more than 140 features, shorts and documentaries from Australia and around the world, and presents numerous panels, filmmaker workshops and special events. MQFF is a highlight of Melbourne’s bustling arts and cultural calendar and presents special events and screenings throughout the year. In 2023, MQFF will screen at venues in central Melbourne and surrounds.
MQFF proudly awards cash and prizes to LGBTQIA+ filmmakers and creatives as part of its growing offering.
SUBMISSIONS
MQFF accepts entries via FilmFreeway.com, the world’s best online submission platform. FilmFreeway offers filmmakers free HD online screeners, unlimited video storage, digital press kits and more.
Films submitted for MQFF 2023 should be of interest to the LGBTQIA+ community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, asexual).
Submission is FREE for Australian entrants only. Please note: there is a fee for all non-Australian film submissions.
Australian entrants please email program@mqff.com.au for a waiver code.
Once a film has been submitted, or solicited, for consideration, please note that we will not be able to provide feedback, in the event that the film is not selected to screen.
